Drive up to Hill AFB FamCamp

We got up at 7:00 this morning and made coffee in our stove top percolator. Since we didn't have any hook-ups at Fruita Campground, I just needed to put stuff away on the inside for our drive and we needed to hitch up the trailer and the car.

We headed west on UT-24 and stopped at a Maverik station at Torrey and got gas and paid $3.149 a gallon for premium.

We passed through the town of Lyman and saw this unique "Dear Crossing" sign.

The farther north we traveled on UT-24 the higher in elevation we got

and we saw more snow still on the ground.

After about 70 miles on UT-24, we connected with US-50 and started descending into
different terrain.

We also started seeing more houses and towns.

We got onto I-15 North a little before noon and we started seeing semis hauling three trailers.

I saw these clouds when we were south of Salt Lake City and took a photo.

Not too long after, we ran into rain and it continued all the way through Salt Lake City which makes taking photos almost impossible.

We arrived at Hill Air Force Base at 3:15

and asked the gate guard for directions to the campground. It wasn't too far away from the gate and we found our campsite and pulled in. We didn't disconnect the car and the trailer was pretty level, thank goodness because it was still raining and it was cold.

We'll be here just for tonight. We didn't get any photos of our campsite today, we'll do that tomorrow.
