Drive from Hill AFB to Anderson Camp, Eden, Idaho

We got up this morning at 7:00 and it was 35° with a wind chill of 26° and a few snow flurries. Mike had to dump our black and gray tanks this morning before we left the campground.

We left Hill AFB a little before 10:00 and headed north on I-15. You could see how low the clouds were over the mountains north of Ogden.

We stopped at a Flying J at Willard, UT and got gas ($2.959 a gallon). Not too long after leaving the Flying J, I saw these cattle heading to a different part of the pasture.

We crossed into Idaho at 11:45

We stopped at a rest area and 12:00 and it was 38° with a wind chill of 27° with a wind out of the NW at
29 mph. and a little later we reached the Sweetzer summit about 12:30.

Just before we arrived at Eden, Idaho we started seeing signs warning of high winds and blowing dust.

We arrived here at Anderson Camp at 2:45 and Mike checked in.

We are in site #18 and it is a pull-through. The rear end of the campsite is higher than the front, but by moving the car forward we were able to get the trailer fairly level without having to use leveling blocks.

Since we have a third of a tank of fresh water, Mike only connected to the electric for our stay here.

It was still pretty cold when we got here - 48° and a wind chill of 39°. But the the wind is the main thing a 33 mph, it was all Mike could do to open his car door when we got here the wind was so strong.
