We got up at 7:00 this morning and it was 9:00 when we left OK RV Park at 9:00. We stopped for gas at a Maverik station in Moab and paid $2.939 a
gallon for premium and stopped again at a Conoco station at Green River and
paid $3.159 a gallon.
Since we were making such good time, we decided to stop at Goblin Valley State Park about 11:45 and check it out, so we made a detour. We paid the $15 day use fee (camping fee is $30 a night) and drove out to view “The Goblins”.

We have seen a LOT of red rock formations of all
different shapes and sizes on this trip, but I never thought of them as “adorable”. But “The
Goblins” are “adorable”. We would have liked to walk down among them, but my
foot is sore and I wouldn’t be able to walk much for the rest of the day if we
did that.
We did drive through the campground there and it was really nice – no hook-ups, of course. Hum – maybe on another trip we could stay here
or we saw several RVs boondocking on BLM land just before entering the State Park.

On our way out to Capitol Reef National Park, we passed
this small herd of cattle alongside
the highway
and just a short distance behind the cowboy who was herding them.
We passed the Visitor’s Center and drove on out to the campground and talked with the on duty camp host. We stopped at the dump station where they also have potable water for filling the RV fresh water tank. After filling our tank a little over 1/3, we drove over to our campsite. We are in Loop B site 23 which is a back-in site.

We paid $20 for the 2 nights that we will be staying here
– which is half of the regular price because of our senior pass. We have no hook-ups, no cell service and of course, no internet.
Tinker needed to take a nap after "helping" to set up camp.
I wrote this Sunday night, but wasn't able to upload our photos or this blog until Tuesday when we had wifi & cell service again.
