Shuttle Bus Ride at Zion National Park

We got up at 6:30 this morning and it was raining and in the low 40's. After breakfast, we put Tinker in his crate and drove over to the Visitor Center to get on a shuttle bus that would take us out through the park.

We had no problem finding a parking space at the Visitor Center and then we walked over to get on the shuttle bus that pulled in just as we parked the car. The bus was only about half full when we left the Visitor Center. We rode out to the last stop at the Temple of Sinawava and got off the bus. The total bus ride only takes about 40 minutes from the first stop at the Visitor Center to the Temple of Sinawava.

We walked out on the Riverside Trail down to the Virgin River and saw this waterfall.

Then we saw a couple of mule deer feeding alongside the trail.

After walking along the trail for a while, we returned to the bus stop and caught the next bus. Mike took
some photos out of one of the windows as we rode back to the Visitor Center.

We're going to go back and ride out through the park on another day when the weather is better and we can see more of the scenery.

We drove into Springdale to have dinner at a Mexican restaurant Casa de Amigos. It was a seat yourself and order at the counter restaurant. They did have Negro Modelo beer and Mike ordered a steak burrito and I had the marinated chicken burrito. This was definitely not the best Mexican food we've had and our burritos weren't very hot. It was very disappointing.

By now the sun has come out and the skies are clearing.

When we got back to the campground, we took Tinker for a walk around the loop.
