Fletcher's Visit

Friday afternoon we went to the Lynnhaven Mall to see the movie Prometheus in 3D at the IMAX theater. We went to the 12:25 showing and there were only 7 other people in the theater with us. We'd seen the previews for the movie and it looked like it would be really good and we weren't disappointed.

After the movie we walked around the mall a little bit and stopped at the Sleep Number Bed store and tried out a couple of their beds. We have a Sleep Number bed in the motor home and one day we'll be buying a house and plan on getting a Sleep Number bed for the house. We both liked the bed with the memory foam on top of the Sleep Number bed.

Saturday morning we stopped at the Post Office and picked up our mail at General Delivery. Then we went to Sam's Club and bought a foam mattress topper for our Sleep Number bed. We also went to Walmart Supercenter and Bed Bath & Beyond before going home.

Fletcher's helping a friend move from Ft. Lauderdale up to Washington D.C. and he called us on Thursday to say that they would be coming through Virginia Beach. They had planned
on staying at a motel here, but decided to stay with us after finding out how expensive the nearest hotel was - $225 a night plus $25 per pet & Mark has 2 dogs.

Fletcher & Mark arrived here at 4:00 Saturday afternoon. We decided to try the Guadalajara Mexican restaurant for dinner and got there about 6:00. The food was pretty good, but the restaurant was really noisy with everyone talking loudly.

After dinner we came back to the RV and took the dogs outside to let them play in a field across from the RV. Mark's dogs, Emily & Penny, really enjoyed running around and we even let Tinker off the leash so he could run around.

Afterwards we watched the movie Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows on DVD before calling it a night.

We were up early this morning so Fletcher & Mark could get on the road. Mark had been concerned that his apartment wouldn't have any electricity due to the storms that had passed through Washington D.C., but he got an e-mail from his landlord that he did have electric service.

Fletcher & Mark left at 7:30 this morning and were driving up I-64 to Richmond and then north on I-95.

Fletcher called us this afternoon that they had made it to Washington D.C. and that we should re-think taking I-64 up to Richmond when we leave Virginia Beach. He said the road was really rough and we might want to take a different route.
