Our last day visiting with Chris & Carole

This morning Chris & Carole took us to the country club here at Pecan Plantation for breakfast. We've spent the rest of today relaxing and visiting and watching the snow flurries.

We've heard that the roads around Dallas and Fort Worth are now clear from the snow we had earlier this week.

I've waited until tonight before I wrote about the medical diagnosis Chris received last December. During a routine physical exam when the physician palpated Chris' abdomen, Chris said that it was very painful. Long story short - Chris was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer. He started chemotherapy earlier this year. He is scheduled to start radiation treatments in a few months and they will inject radioactive beads into his liver that will target the blood supply to the tumors.

Chris had a chemo treatment scheduled for today, but it was cancelled due to the road conditions earlier today. The doctors say that with the aggressive chemotherapy that he is having that it may extend his life 18-24 months as opposed to standard chemo prognosis of 6-12 months. Needless to say, we are praying and hoping that the doctors will be right in their time frame.
