This photo is looking down one of the road in the campground.
We left about 10:30 and headed south on I-95 and stopped at the Flying J on the first exit south to get gas and paid $3.199 for premium. We stopped a little after 1:00 for lunch at the 5 Guys on I-95 at Melbourne. We both ordered a little bacon cheeseburger and a regular fry and onion rings.
Then it was just 38 more miles to the house. We got home about 2:00. Just as we pulled up in front of the
house, we saw our neighbor Bruce walking over to our house. The electricity had just come on and he was coming to get his car out of our garage.
What great timing was that on our part - getting home just when the power comes back on!!
We backed the trailer on to the driveway after Bruce got his car. We got Tinker and went in to the house to check everything. Everything looks the same as when we left - no damage. Except - for the really large pile of tree debris. However, this pile of debris is a lot smaller than the one we had after Hurricane Matthew last year. I took this photo early this evening.
Mike hooked the electric up to the trailer and we started bringing stuff in the house. We even left the car and trailer hitched - we''ll level the trailer and then unhitch them.
It's good to be home, but now all of the stuff I packed away in closets and dresser drawers to keep them from breaking should the windows get broken or the roof damaged - I'll have to put back. I'm sure it will take longer to put everything back than it did to put it away somewhere safe.
