Saying Goodbye to Friends and Fletcher & Doug Visit

This morning after breakfast we walked down to Paul & DIane's campsite to say goodbye. We had a great time visiting with them and attending their & Mike's class reunion. We visited while Paul was preparing the RV for their departure. Paul wanted to take another look at our hookups at the RV, so we all walked back to our site. Mike took a photo of Paul & Diane before they headed back to their RV.

There were storm clouds moving in and they hoped to hookup their truck to the RV before the rain hit.

This afternoon Fletcher & his friend, Doug, drove up from Fort Lauderdale. We went to lunch at Dave's Last Resort in downtown Lake Worth. We went in Doug's Jeep since the back of our car is full and we can only carry 2 people.

After lunch we drove over to the east side of Lake Worth to look at the homes on S. Lakeside Drive and then we drove by our old house (& where Mike grew up) on 17th Avenue North, my parent's house (where I grew up) on N. F Street and then by Mike's grandparents' house on S. C Street.

Then we drove around the east side of Lake Osborne before returning to John Prince Park. We spent the rest of the day and evening sitting outside enjoying the cool breezes

and watching Fletcher toss a tennis ball to Vala, his rat terrier, and she NEVER gets tired.

It started raining and we hurried inside and made it just in time before the storm hit. We had heavy blowing rain and lots of wind. The people who were 2 sites over from us didn't get their awning taken down in time and a couple of them held onto the awning supports to keep it from being damaged by the wind. Once the storm had passed they were able to put the awning up.

When Fletcher & Doug were leaving we noticed the storm clouds east of us and saw the cloud-to-cloud lightning - no thunder, just a beautiful light show. We stood for a long time just watching the streaks of lightning. Fletcher & Doug took photos of the lightning with their iPhones and Doug e-mailed this one to us after they got home. It is kind of grainy, but it shows the lightning pretty well.
