No Water - Well Water Tank Failed

Late last night Mike noticed that our water pump kept cycling off and on. He went out to check it and when he put his hand on the pump it was hot, so he turned the pump off.

This morning after breakfast Mike turned the water pump back on and it was still cycling on and off. Mike checked the pump, the water softener and the well water tank and finally decided that we would need to replace the water tank because it isn't maintaining the air charge. We definitely don't want the new water pump to overheat since we've only had it a couple of months.

So we started researching water tanks on Home Depot and Lowe's websites and decided
on the one from Home Depot (Lowe's had the same tank, but Home Depot's was much cheaper). We ordered the 32 gallon tank and it will be here the end of this week (neither store had them in stock).
Mike called our neighbor Bruce and told him about our problem (we have NO water) and Bruce told Mike it would fine if we connected a hose to one of his outdoor faucets so we could use his water until we can get the water tank installed.

Fortunately we already had a hose long enough to run from Bruce's house to ours and how fortunate we are to have such good neighbors!!
