Tinker Grooming & visit Doberman Rescue

We took Tinker over to Dog Designs Pet Resort this morning for his grooming appointment and stopped at a Raceway to get gas in the Vue ($2.669 a gallon) before returning to the RV.

After lunch I did a little shopping at Wal-Mart Supercenter before going by Dog Designs Pet Resort to pick up Tinker after he was bathed and groomed.

Mike and I went down to Lake Placid this afternoon to visit Gary and see his Doberman Rescue facilities. Lake Placid is about 15 miles south of Sebring. We left Tinker at home to catch up on his naps he missed while he was being groomed.

We were impressed to see how many Dobermans Gary had in his facility. I think we counted about a dozen. He had a few outside and then he let a bunch out of his house and they were all happy to see us. Gary told us the history of some of the dogs and told us of some of the dogs that were placed in their forever homes.

From Highlands Hammock State Park

After visiting with Gary and his charges, we headed back up to Highlands Hammock. Tomorrow we are leaving and going to Ft. Myers Beach RV Resort.
