Saturday we drove up to the Sleep Number Store in Viera to see the bed that they had on sale this weekend for half price. We ordered a king size bed and base (1/2 price) and are having it delivered to Christine & Matt's house in Vero Beach and stored in their garage - how nice of them to do that for us.
Sunday I called my brother Cyril and told him that we had found a house in Sebastian and were in the process of buying it. I know that he and Elaine were looking forward to us living near them, but we will be living a lot closer to them than when we lived in Dothan.
This afternoon we drove over to the house to be there for the septic tank and house inspections. Our realtor had given us the name of some home inspectors and we chose
John Vetter. The current owners were there and we visited while the inspections were being done.
Once the house inspection was done we walked through the house with John and he went over his findings on the house. John had 2 other men working with him - they ran the dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer and the whirlpool tub in addition to checking the A/C and hot water heater to make sure everything worked. There were only a few things that needed to be done and we can take care of them after we move in.
So now all we have to do is get home insurance and wait for the results of the appraisal that is being done next week.
