We've continued working on our flower beds this month. I took a photo of the Tibouchina Tree after we planted it.
We bought a Starburst Bush (Clerodendrum Quadriloculare) and planted it on the south side of the garage near the bougainvillea on the fence. The bougainvillea hasn't been doing well lately, so I gave it a severe pruning and hopefully it will do better.
We also bought some Drift Roses and Ornamental Cabbage plants and added them to a flower bed by the garage.
We're still taking our neighbor Barbara to her doctor's appointments and she introduced us
to a new cafe in Vero called the Hideaway Cafe near the Vero hospital. We had a really good lunch and look forward to going back sometime.
We changed our TV service from Dish Network to Comcast Cable (who we have our internet with). So far we are really pleased with the change.
We went to GardenFest earlier this month in Vero Beach and got some great ideas for plants and some good advice on some of the ones we already have.
This month I attended the Valentine Genealogy Seminar and the guest speaker was Josh Taylor is a host of Genealogy Roadshow and he is a very enthusiastic speaker and fun to listen to. As usual I had a great time and learned a lot - just need to find time to use what I learned.
My cousin Frances and her husband were down from Illinois and staying at their timeshare in Kissimmee and we drove over for a visit and to have lunch. Frances & Jack are both really good cooks and fixed us a great lunch. And no, we just can't get Jack to smile in a photo.
