New Kitchen Sink & Faucets Installed

Since my last post we've bought a new kitchen faucet and new faucet for the RO (reverse osmosis) system. Mike set the kitchen sink on some concrete blocks in the family room and installed the new faucets.

Did I mention that the sink is cast iron and HEAVY? We called our neighbor Bruce and he and Jane came over. Bruce helped Mike lift the sink and set it in the counter top. I made coffee for everyone and we had a nice visit with Jane and Bruce.

Last Saturday we went to the Indian River Fairgrounds to the Vero Beach Outdoor Expo. After paying the $7 (each) admission fee, we walked around looking at the exhibits and different vendors. The special guest was John Godwin from Duck Dynasty. The line for people waiting to have their photo taken with him was LOOOOONG. Since we don't watch Duck Dynasty, we didn't have to worry about how long we'd have to stand in line.

After leaving the Expo, we drove over to the beach and drove north on A1A to Sebastian Inlet State Park. Our friends Ron and Cindi camp there and we wanted to check it out. The entrance fee is $8 per vehicle. We were told we would have to pay the entrance fee even if we just wanted to look around, but if we returned to the entrance within 10 minutes the fee would be refunded. We drove around the campground (there are 43 full hookup sites) and looked to see which ones we could get the motorhome in.

We bought some solar window film at Home Depot and to put on the windows in the family room. Monday morning was cloudy and we started putting the solar window film on one of the windows. Monday afternoon when we put the solar window film on the second window in the family room, it went on a lot quicker and easier than the first window. By the time we did the second window, the sun had come out and the outside temp was warmer and I think that made the difference in applying the window film.

I found some window scarves at Kohl's website that I thought would look good on the family room windows and ordered them.  We bought a couple of curtain rods at Home Depot for the window scarves. I'm looking forward to putting the scarves up - I think they will look great in the family room.
