Lake City to Dothan, AL

We left Oaks 'N Pines RV Campground this morning about 10:15 and headed west on I-10. The rain from yesterday has passed through and we have sunny skies today. We stopped at a rest area about 50 miles east of Tallahassee to have lunch a little before noon.

We stopped at the Flying J just west of Tallahassee at Midway to get gas for the RV ($3.779 a gal). Later on we passed over the Apalachicola River and entered the Central Time Zone.

Then after about 30 miles we saw

the sign for the exit for US-231 North to Dothan.

After driving 17 miles north on US-231 we crossed the Alabama state line.

We took the circle around the west side of Dothan and then headed west on US-84. We stopped at the Publix on Hwy 84 and disconnected the car. I went into Publix to do some shopping and Mike drove on up to the Shell station to fill the tank in the RV ($3.759 a gal). It was 215 miles from Lake City to The Willows.

I met Mike at The Willows where we stay here in Dothan. W. T. (the owner) was there waiting to help us get parked on our site and get set up. His wife Glenda came out to greet us.

It was good to see W. T. and Glenda again. We've stayed here 7 winters and have become good friends with them.

We will be here in Dothan for the month of April. We're here because of some doctor's appointments we made before we left to go south to Kissimmee.
