We left the campground this morning a little before 9:00 and drove south on I-59 to Ashville to go to the St. Clair County Archives and Museum. Ashville is a small town with about 2400 people. The county was established in 1818 before Alabama became a state in 1819.
We arrived at the Archives about 10:00 (it was a 60 mile trip). The archives had moved from the courthouse to a building across the street and is housed in an old bank building.
