Last half of July was busier than the first half

The first half of this month was rather uneventful. Mike and I spent a quiet 4th of July at home.

My cousin Frances and her husband Jack came down from southern Illinois this month to spend some time at their time share in Kissimmee. Mike and I drove over to my brother's house on the 22nd to meet Frances and Jack there so we could visit with them. We all went out to eat at Perkins for lunch and then went back to my brother's house to visit some more. On our way home Mike and I stopped at the Dairy Queen here in Sebastian to get a couple of peanut butter cup Blizzards for supper.

On the 25th Mike and I met our friends Chris, Carol & Mary for breakfast at JP Matty's here in Sebastian to catch up with what everyone has been doing.

Fletcher made a day trip up on the 28th to show us his new car a 2014 Infiniti Q50. It's really nice and he has been looking for quite a while and trying to decide between different car manufacturers and models.

On the 30th I went down to the Vero Beach main library to attend a free class on breaking a brick wall in genealogy. I had e-mailed my registration in last month and picked July 9th for my class. The classes are limited to 8 people and I had to fill out a form with information on the ancestor I had a brick wall on (the hard part was deciding which ancestor and which brick wall) and then I had to list the research I had done.

The class on the 9th had to be cancelled and I chose July 30th. When I got to the class the librarian Pam had pulled several books from the stacks and had placed them along with a printout of the information I had sent in and a printout from my family tree on Ancestry on Christopher Neale who is Mike's 3rd great grandfather. The class was 2 hours long and I learned some new ways to try and break my brick wall and had a chance to search the books Pam had selected for me.

After the class was over, I drove over to Applebee's for lunch and had the Chicken Fajita Rollup. Then after lunch I stopped at Sam's Club to do some shopping before going home.
