Mary Lynn's Visit

Last Monday evening Mike's cousin from California flew to Orlando, picked up her rental car and drove to our house. Her plane got in later than scheduled, so it was almost 1 a.m. Tuesday morning when Mary Lynn got here.

Tuesday morning Mike and I had an appointment at our doctor's office for routine blood work and by the time we got back home, Mary Lynn was up. We had a quick breakfast before heading up to Melbourne. Mike rode with Mary Lynn in her rental car and I followed them in our car with Tinker. We drove over to A1A and then north to Mary Lynn's property on the Atlantic Ocean a few miles north of Sebastian Inlet. After looking at the vacant lot and ocean view, we drove north to Melbourne to her rental house on the Indian River.

Her house is on the Indian River and the views from her house are great.
I could sit there all day and watch the sail boats on the river - just so relaxing!

Mary Lynn's renters had moved out and she was here to see what work needed to be done on the house. Since there was no furniture in the house, we took our air mattress and some bed linens and towels and a folding chair so Mary Lynn would have a place to sleep and sit while she stayed at the house. We went to lunch at Grills Seafood in Melbourne and Mike & I had their Grilled Reuben and Mary Lynn ordered their cheeseburger.

Mike and I (& Tinker) drove back up to Mary Lynn's house on Thursday to help her with some of the repairs. One of the garage doors wouldn't work and we located a door company in Melbourne that had the part Mike needed. Several of the ceiling spot lights needed bulbs and we brought our ladder with us so Mike could put in the new light bulbs. There are still a couple of small jobs that need to be done, so we will go back up to Melbourne next week.

We put up our new Christmas tree this week and decorated it. Since we were short on space for collecting souvenirs of our travels, I bought Christmas ornaments wherever we visited. I think they look great on our new tree.
