Upgraded Dish service, New Rain Gutters & Lunch at Meg O'Malley's

This past week has been a busy one for us. Monday I called Dish Network and checked on upgrading our service to HD since we now have a TV that can show HD channels. We had bought the satellite dish and receiver that we have used in the RV, but we can't get HD channels with that set-up.

I found out we can get a new satellite dish and the Hopper with DVR and upgrade to HD channels for only $10 more a month. We're paying $10 a month for the Hopper/DVR and by signing up for Dish's autopay we get HD for Life (HD is normally $10 a month). We signed up for the upgrade and had our new Dish equipment installed this Thursday. We're enjoying watching our shows in HD - even with our new HD TV the reception with our old set-up just wasn't crisp and clear enough.

Tuesday morning All-Pro Gutters came out and installed our new rain
gutters. There were 3 guys working and each one had a specific job to do and it only took them a couple of hours make the gutters and install them. Our next-door neighbor Bruce was so impressed with their work that he's going to call them to have rain gutters put on his house. Now all we need is a good hard rain to check out our gutters.

Wednesday we went over to the Indian River County office in Sebastian and filed for homestead exemption for 2014.

Mike installed the second sink and faucet in the master bath this week. He was going to install the new sink and faucet in the guest bath on Friday but had a problem when he took out the old sink. The 2 old sinks in our bath came out with no problem, but when Mike pulled out guest bath sink out part of the laminate countertop came with it. We removed the countertop and took it to a local cabinet shop. We were able to match the laminate and will have a new countertop the first of next week.

Today we drove up to Melbourne to do some shopping. Mike wanted to go to Harbor Freight and Northern Tool to get some tools they had on sale. While we were in Melbourne we went to Meg O'Malley's Irish Pub for lunch before heading home. We both ordered the Kilkenny (Reuben) with fries and iced tea. The food was great and so was the restaurant.
