We said goodby to Symphony & Al this morning & thanked them for their hospitality. It's always great to see them & catch up on each other's news.
Instead of driving back through Collinsville, we followed Al's directions & drove north & got onto I-59 just south of Fort Payne. We stopped for gas at a Pilot station in Rising Fawn, GA & paid $3.399 a gallon for regular. They had a Subway restaurant & we decided to have lunch there instead of fixing lunch in the RV. When we got to Chattanooga, TN we stopped at Shipp's RV Center to shop at Camping World. We took I-75 north from Chattanooga and then I-81 north.
After driving almost 300 miles today, we stopped for the night at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Bristol, Tennessee. We called ahead to confirm that it was okay for us to spend the night. We also asked if the store had a section of the parking lot they would prefer us to park in. The parking may have been free, but after paying $100+ at Wal-Mart it was a good trade out for Wal-Mart.
